Learning to Love University – a post for Valentines Day

I’m not sure I have ever heard the words love and university used in the same sentence, unless there was a high degree of sarcasm involved. University is not easy. It’s a daunting, long, arduous process that many of us are just lucky to survive. However, inspired by all of the lovely, warm fuzzies that are floating around today, Valentines Day, I thought I would write a post about learning to love university.

Hindsight is wonderful

Wise old manI recently heard this quote;

Hindsight wisdom is of no use – Indian Proverb

Well sorry to the wise old man who probably first said this, but I must say I disagree. Hindsight wisdom might not be able to change anything from that time for me, but it certainly has shaped the subsequent decisions I have made. As they say, live and learn. However, I am also hoping that MY hindsight wisdom can be of use to YOU. Having finished my Bachelor studies a few years ago, I am now a tutor (research assistant/teacher/professor; whatever the equivalent position title) for first year students in business, and I am constantly trying to impart my hindsight wisdom. If I can save at least one person from making the same mistakes as me, then my mission will be accomplished.

This series of posts about my Bachelor studies reflects my experiences as a Bachelor of Business student at an Australian university. If you follow this blog, my latest posts will be sent directly to you. If you have any other hindsight wisdom to impart, please let us know in the comments, so that we can all benefit.
